October is Child Abuse Prevention Month
Help Protect Children in Your Community
Ontario’s Children Aid Societies have been raising awareness during October for Child Abuse Prevention for over twenty years. The campaign started with one agency and has grown to include over 40 agencies. The purpose of the campaign is to raise awareness on a provincial and community level, engaging the public, media and families across Ontario.
Last year, we invited our community to participate in Child Abuse Prevention Month by "Going Purple for Prevention" and our commmunity responded!! Over 35 local organizations and 4,000 individuals participated in the campaign in some way!!
This year we had well over 70 local organizations participate in the campaign!
We would like to thank Windsor-Essex and our partners across the province for raising awareness about these very important concerns.
